Currently, this website only covers the events depicted in the Terminator movies. Events depicted in comic books, graphic novels, video games and the two-season TV serial Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles have not been included, because they are non-canonical to the events depicted in the movies.
Timeline Help
Each of the timeline pages, the links of which can be found at the top of the website directly beneath the sites logo, corresponding to each of the timelines that make up the movies of the Terminator franchise. Each of these pages displays a list of important information and dates relevant to understanding the nature of that timeline and its place within the currently accepted canon timeline of the Terminator movie franchise. Although each timeline is intended to be easy to understand, for the sake of clarification here is a rundown as to how the information on each timeline page is presented.
All of the dates, events, and information pertaining to the timelines of the Terminator movies contained in this website are sourced from the movies themselves, or related media (scripts, concept art etc.). All sources are highlighted in green, with linked sources highlighted in red.
Unless explicitly stated within the movies, the birthdates (day and month) of characters will be shared with those of the original actor who portrayed them. Where applicable the year in which characters were born will be estimated from the age of the actors who portrayed them during filming in relation to the year depicted in the movie in which they first appear.
Only dates and events related to understanding the nature of each timeline are contained within each timeline, with an expansive chronology of birthdates for all the major characters on the Complete Chronology page found on the left side of the website under the Heavy Reading section of page links.If you have any issues with the events set out within each of the timelines please read the pages found on the left side of the website under the Heavy Reading section of page links, which includes in-depth and important information about the nature of the timelines as depicted in the Terminator movies.
Within the Complete Chronology all assertions are explained beneath each applicable date and/or event, citing evidence and sources where applicable, and are displayed using italic text.
