A series 800, Cyberdyne Systems model 101 "Terminator" Infiltrator Unit arrived via a chrono-sphere at Griffin Park Observatory, Los Angeles, California. Shortly afterward, Sergeant Kyle Reese (DN 38416) arrived via another chrono-sphere in an alleyway in Los Angeles, California.

1984, May 12th
After its arrival in 1984, the Terminator assaulted three street punks, acquiring their clothes while Reese acquired clothes from a closed Way-Mart store and a shotgun from an LAPD patrol car that was pursuing him. Acquiring weapons at a gun store the Terminator murdered the clerk and later, Sarah Louise Connor. Stood up by her date Stan Morsky, Sarah J Connor left her roommate Ginger and Ginger's boyfriend Matt alone. Sometime later while in a bar, Sarah was alerted by an LAPD public statement announcing the murders of Sarah Louise Connor and Sarah Anne Connor. With her name next in the phone directory Sarah sought refuge at the Tech-Noir nightclub before contacting the LAPD, and then her roommate, unknowingly alerting the Terminator to her whereabouts. Sarah was located by the Terminator at the Tech-noir nightclub, but she was rescued from termination by Reese. Sarah then escaped with Reese before they were eventually arrested by the LAPD. After Reese was questioned by Dr. Peter Silberman at the West Highland Police Station, the Terminator attacked, killing 17 police officers as Sarah and Reese once again escaped.

1984, May 13th
After spending the night in a sewage drain Sarah and Reese booked a room at the Tiki Motel. Unbeknown to Reese, Sarah contacted her mother and disclosed their location to the Terminator. After conceiving John Connor, Reese and Sarah were alerted of the Terminators arrival before narrowly escaping. After a highway chase in which a fuel tanker exploded Sarah and Reese were chased by the Terminator into a Cyberdyne Systems factory. Sacrificing himself to save Sarah, Reese died. Alone Sarah trapped the Terminator in a hydraulic press before squashing it.

1984, May 14th
Sarah was taken to a nearby hospital, while Reeses remains went to the LAPD coroner. Inside the Cyberdyne Systems factory, two employees pocketed the Terminators damaged Neural Network Processor.

Crossing the border into Mexico Sarah, 6 months pregnant, had her photograph take shortly after recording an audiotape for her unborn son.

1994
1994, June 8th
A reprogrammed series 800 Cyberdyne Systems model 101 "Terminator" Infiltrator Unit arrived via a chrono-sphere in Acton, California. Shortly afterward a prototype series 1000 Infiltrator Unit arrived via another chrono-sphere at the 6th Street Bridge, Santa Fe, Los Angeles, California. After attempting to acquire John at his foster residence both the reprogrammed Terminator and the T-1000 converged at the Reseda Galleria shopping mall, intercepting John. John narrowly escaped termination 3 times in quick succession before he was eventually rescued by the reprogrammed Terminator following a high-speed pursuit in Los Angeles' flood tunnels. After the T-1000 failed to reacquire John at his foster residence it infiltrated Pescadero State Hospital to acquire Johns mother Sarah, but she was rescued by John and the reprogrammed Terminator.

After resetting the reprogrammed Terminators Neural Network Processor to enable it to learn Sarah and John quizzed the reprogrammed Terminator about Skynet, and its creator Miles Bennett Dyson before arriving at Salceda Ranch. Leaving John in the reprogrammed Terminators care Sarah attempted to assassinate Dyson alone. She failed. At the Dyson residence John, Sarah, and the reprogrammed Terminator persuaded Dyson to destroy his work. Dyson, John, Sarah and the reprogrammed Terminator broke into Cyberdyne Systems' laboratory, but the LAPD was alerted to their location and subsequently surrounded the building. After Dyson risked his life to destroy his work Sarah, John and the reprogrammed Terminator escaped the LAPD, pursued by the T-1000 in a high-speed chase which crashed into a nearby foundry. Inside the foundry Sarah, John, and the reprogrammed Terminator defeated the T-1000 before destroying the surviving remains of the Terminator that had been sent back to May 12th, 1984, following which Sarah lowered the reprogrammed Terminator into a vat of molten steel.
